Hopwood students found with marijuana
Two Hopwood Junior High School students were booked to the Juvenile Detention Thursday after a school vice principal turned them in for illegal possession of controlled substance.
According to police reports, the school administrator saw a white binder at the back of her classroom that she thought belonged to one of her students.
In an attempt to identify the owner, she flipped through its pages and accidentally came across a roll of marijuana tucked in between the leaves.
The binder bore the name of the female owner who was later on summoned to the principal’s office for a disciplinary action.
But the juvenile claimed another Hopwood male student gave her the marijuana joint.
Both teens were arrested for illegal possession of a controlled substance.
They were transported to the juvenile detention for processing.
Couple brawls over money
A 43-year-old Filipino male is suspected of physically abusing a Chinese female from San Antonio over a sum of $125 dollars.
The suspect reportedly assaulted his Chinese girlfriend last week when he apparently got fed up with inquiries about the cash she had supposedly left inside a tin can on top of the television set.
Police reports said the man reportedly got irritated and as a result, punched her on the chest.
The assault was further followed by a slap on the right cheek.
The victim immediately walked away and looked for the nearest phone to seek for police assistance.
Crime scene technicians were summoned to the scene to take photos of the injuries the victim had sustained.
As of Friday, no arrest has been made.
