The Philippine Consulate General has announced that its last mobile consular services on Tinian and Rota before they close down will be next month.
Consul General Medardo Macaraig will lead the consular team that will conduct the mobile consular services on the two islands.
The team will conduct the services on Tinian at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel on April 21, Saturday, from 8am to 5pm, and at JC Café on April 22, Sunday, from 9am to 5pm.
On Rota, the consular services will be held on April 28 and 29, from 9am to 5pm, at the Northern Marianas College Rota Campus.
“As the Philippine Consulate General prepares to transfer consular jurisdiction of the Northern Marianas to the Philippine Consulate General in Guam, the mobile consular services in April will be the last that will be offered by the Consulate in Saipan,” said Macaraig.
During the mobile consular services, applications for ePassports, Overseas Employment Certificate or OEC, and membership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration or OWWA will be processed. ePassport applicants are asked to check out the requirements at www.philippinessaipan.org.
Filipino citizens who want to vote for the May 2013 senatorial elections can also register at the mobile consular services. A valid passport, personal appearance, and an accomplished form which is available at the consular services will be required for registration.
