A Disclaimer Letter to My Readers

During the past month of January, I was honored to be elected to two very important positions. The Saipan Chamber of Commerce voted me to be their president for the year. And the Board of Education voted me as the chairperson for the Board and the Public School System. Both positions are highly visible and carry a large responsibility as leader and spokesperson for the two organizations. At the same time I have been a contributing columnist to the Saipan Tribune since January 1999, under the column entitled “Focus on Education.”

So that there will no misunderstanding of the various hats I am wearing, I wish to explain that whenever I write these articles for the Tribune, please understand fully that I am writing them as a private citizen and a columnist.
