Due to inclement weather, event organizers and its steering committee announced that the Rota San Isidro Fishing Derby is canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The sporting event was originally scheduled for yesterday and today to run alongside Rota’s San Isidro Fiesta held in Sinapalo village.

All participants that have already registered are kindly requested to provide their contact numbers in Guam to Manny Duenas of the Guam Fishing Cooperative Association at (671)-472-6323; and for Saipan to Richard B. Seman, CNMI Division of Fish and Wildlife at 285-6003 so that they will all be informed of the reschedule date of the anticipated competition.

Proceeds raised from the event will go toward helping raise funds to build a new social hall and provide improved living accommodations for reverend monsignor Louis Antonelly.

Due to the circumstances, the committee is extending the registration date to accommodate additional interested participants. For more information, please contact (670)-532-0022, (670)-888-8047, (670) 285-4018; or email diego@pticom.com or pete_rms@yahoo.com.
