The Attorney General’s Office yesterday charged before the Superior Court businessman Patrick M. Calvo with sexual abuse of a minor.

Mr. Calvo, 38, chair of the Saipan & Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation and owner of various businesses on the island, was asked to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. for a hearing.

The complaint alleged that Mr. Calvo had sexual contact on or about April 1, 1997 on Saipan with a minor identified only as J.A.F., who was then under 16 years old.
