After struggling the first half of the tournament, Kim Seung steadied for a one under par 35 to edge out Jess Wabol for the Refalawasch Golf Association’s November qualifying round.

Overcoming a four over par 40 at the front nine, Kim weathered the gusty conditions and made good, with an 8 handicap, for the win and a chance to qualify for the club’s yearend tournament finale scheduled for December. Wabol finished with a net 70 to settle for second place.

Winning the closest to the pin awards were Oliver Sasaki and Tony “Over the Hill” Taitano at the 3rd and 15th hole, respectively.

Up next for RGA is the ace tournament scheduled for November 19 at COP. December qualifier will be held the same day.

RGA said its members have a chance to win free turkey for the holidays during the tournament, but is only limited to the first 24 registrants. Tee time is 6:30 a.m. and tournament fee is $30.00.
