Demapan, Jung are SGA champs

Joe Demapan easily won the SGA crown for September 2000. Joe shot 41 in the front and later came back very strong and shot a stunning 39 in the back to secure his spot for the upcoming SGA December Tournament of Championships.

With a gross score of 80 and a 9 handicap, Demapan came in with the best net score of the day at 71.

Mr. Jung, who is also a new member of SGA, captured the October title by a performance of 50 in the front and 46 in the back. Jung’s handicap of 20 secured him the October title and qualifies him to compete in the December Ace of all Aces.

Jess Castro came in second place overall in the tournament with a front nine score of 42 and 42 in the back as well. Castro’s handicap is 10.

In other areas, the “Kamikaze” man easily won the closest to the pin contest on holes no. 3, 7 and 13. Jess Castro won hole no. 17.
