Navy ship docks for R&R

The Navy Destroyer USS O’ Brien arrives on Saipan at 10:00 a.m. today for a five-day port visit. The 563-foot ship is under the command of Commander E.J. Lindenbaum and carries 26 officers and 307 enlisted men.

Members of the crew have volunteered for a community relations project at Oleai Elementary School on Monday, Oct. 16. This is the ship’s second visit to Saipan and also their second time to volunteer at OES.

The USS O’ Brien’s homeport is Yokosuka, Japan.
