Game Results- Oct. 7, 2000
1st Game Lens 71 Old Aces 67 (Overtime)
First game of the night was between Lens Bar and Old Aces. It took Lens Bar another five minutes to earn a 71-67 victory over Old Aces in overtime. With the score 58-56, Old Aces Tony Pangelinan hit a buzzer beater with sticks remaining in regulation to send the game into extra period and tied the score at 58-58.
Mark Rozic, however, secured the victory for Lens int he extrra period. Rozic pumped in 27 points, 5 assists, 1 block shot, and 15 rebounds. Paul Joyce the master of the 3 point area helped out rozic with 12 points all coming from the rainbow arrea. Joyce also dished out 3 assists, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Tony Lizama poured in 34-points, 1 assist and 2 steals, while Joe “Kamakazi” Camacho contrributed 8 points, 5 assists, 1 rebound and 2 steals in a losing cause.
2nd Game NMC FAKPI 78 WD 71
Llyod Hartman scored 23 points, 2 assists, 3 block shots, 11 rebounds and 1 steal to lead NMC to a 78-71 win over WD 40. NMCwon their sixth win of the season. NMC is now 6-wins and 1 loss. NMC’s only loss was to Tony Sablan’s GTE Pacifica team. Arnold Mesa helped out Harrtman ith 25 points, 4 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
