5K Hope Run raises $4.6K for scholars

The Saipan Seventh-Day Adventist School held a successful 5K Hope Run last Sunday, raising over $4,600 for its scholarship program.
Event organizers surpassed their targeted number of runners as Sunday’s run, which started at the Garapan Fishing Base up to Trankun Da’u and the Filcom Pavilion in Susupe, had a total of 99 runners.
This year’s theme was “Live to Learn, Live to Love, Live to Give.”
The Top 10 runners who received an award were Greg Sakisat (20:37), Tim Quan, (21:14), John Douglas (21:24), Steven Pixley (21:41), Ken Pierson (21:49), Unknown (22:40), Julius Rey Barro (22:54), Frank Diesta (23:16), Tamio Nichikido (23:30), and Travis Spaeth (23:36).
The Top 3 finishers for each category also received an award. Donated prizes were also raffled off to both runners and non-runners.
SDA Clinic will match the amount raised by the school to allow the scholarship program help deserving students.
