Manuel L. Dela Cruz, father of Sen. Jose M. Dela Cruz of Tinian, is still missing, seven days after he was last seen Sept. 30 at around 3:00 a.m. in Marpo Valley in the island municipality.

The 79-year old man was wearing black jeans, grayish-white short sleeve shirt with black prints when he disappeared.

Sen. Dela Cruz has already appealed to those who have seen his father or know his whereabouts to immediately contact the family or the police.

An island-wide search has been launched, aided by two dogs sent by Guam police. Volunteers will continue looking for Mr. Dela Cruz. Unless the governor approves emergency request of Resident Director Pedro Cruz, DPS may officially call off the search.

Mr. Dela Cruz stands 5’4″ and weighs 104 lbs. He has a tattoo “M.D.C” on his left upper arm.

If you have any information that could assist in locating this person, please call the Tinian Police at 433-7383 or DPS at 664-9001/2 or 911.
