October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the CNMI and the rest of the United States.

Chamorro women are three times more likely to die of breast cancer, according to the CNMI’s five-year adjusted death rate (1992-97) for this disease.

In recognition of this special time, Governor Pedro P. Tenorio will sign a proclamation to this effect at 10:15 a.m. today at the Governor’s Office.
