Superior Court Presiding Judge Edward Manibusan has issued an arrest warrant on Chinese national Zhi Guang Wang who jumped bail after he was convicted of promoting prostitution.

Mr. Zhi was temporarily released on a $3,000 bail to a third party custodian, businessman Chung Yiu. A few days before his scheduled sentencing in court, he was reported missing on Sept. 3 by Mr. Chung.

The convict was arrested in July 1999 during a raid on suspected prostitution establishments in Garapan by a combined team of police and immigration agents in July 1999. Judge Manibusan has increased Mr. Zhi’s bail to $50,000.
