The Smiling Cove Marina on Saipan will be temporarily closed to the general public from 3pm on March 14 to 5pm on March 15.

The closure is in preparation for the Queen Mary 2’s visit to Saipan as the marina will be used for visiting guests.

With this development, marina operation will be moved to the Outer Cove Marina. In addition, the Smiling Cove Marina boat launch ramp will be also closed.

Those who use the ramp are redirected to use the Department of Public Works boat launch ramp across Division of Fish and Wildlife in Lower Base or the Garapan Fishing Base boat launch ramp.

Resident boat owners or operators of Smiling Cove Marina are encouraged to contact the CNMI office of the Department of Homeland Security, Commonwealth Ports Authority police, or stop by DPS Boating Safety for arrangements. (PR)
