FHB, GBM announces nominees for 2012 Businesswoman of the Year

HAGÅTÑA, Guam-First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine are pleased to announce the nominees of the 2012 Businesswoman of the Year Maga’haga award.

The 12 nominees are Lucy M. Alcorn, President, GFS Group; Katie F. Black, Sales Account Manager, United; Laila Y. Boyer, President, Marianas Variety News and Views; Shelly V. Calvo, Owner, Oxygene and Diva’s Café; Jaylene Kent, President, Isla Paint and Roofing Supply; Sandra Low, Owner, Opus One; Françoise Martin, Chiropractor, Walking Tall Clinic; Layla Raymanova, Realtor, Century 21 Commonwealth Realty; Annette T. Santos, Associate Professor, School of Business and Public Administration, University of Guam; Frances C. Schier, General Manager, Travel Pacificana; Mary P. Torre, President, Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association; and Andrea S. Whitt, Executive Director, Customer Service, IT&E.

The Maga’haga Award will be presented at the Businesswoman of the Year gala on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Aurora Resort & Spa in conjunction with the release of the Guam Business Magazine May/June issue, featuring a commissioned photo study of the recipient on its cover. Proceeds from the gala will fund scholarships at the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College.
