Little League Baseball is the largest youth organization around the world with over 3 million children participating each year in addition to over 3,000 adult volunteer personnel.

Here in our small community, there are 421 children participants. The so-called “men-in-blue” or umpires that make the technical decisions on the playing rules and regulations is headed by James Miwata, umpire consultant, with the assistance of his crew, Mariano Taitano, Manny Tenorio, Al Taitano, Pancho Suel, Roy Celis, Jr. and Luie Mesa.

The group also have statisticians who keep records of all the Marianas stars with the brilliant and dynamic efforts of Little League consultant and baseball legend Tan Ko Palacios, who has extended and shared his knowledge with committee members Roy Celis, Sr. and wife Bedu, Joe Lizama and wife Sylvia.

The Auxiliary Team, on the other hand, handles the security and safety precautions for both on and off the playing field during crunch time. This awesome support and assistance comes from Tan Chu Blas, Danny Sablan, Peling Terlaje, Ben Camacho, Rudy Dela Rosa, Sonny Flores, Henry Manalo, Bill Ada, Jess Ngeskebei, Albert Santos,
CJ Duenas, Sam Babauta, Henry “Perry” Sablan and Frank Crisostomo.

‘The Field of Dreams’ Committee is headed by the family of Mike and Pilar Palacios with their aggressive son Derek. They are responsible for keeping the facilities clean and tidy for the Marianas Stars of Agupa.

There is also the Technical Committee who makes all the necessary information and documents available on time. The committee receives a lot of criticisms but they are always ready to respond to questions. The committee is headed by Joe Borja with Annie Flores, Doreen Agulto, bob Magofna, Joe Salas, Mike Borja, Gus “T.T.”
Pangelinan, Tony Rogolofoi, Tan Ko Palacios, Jackie San Nicolas and Tun Domingo Cruz as members.

These volunteers spend countless hours to help and assist the Little League program for free, even missing family gatherings and engagements. And they do this all for the love of the game.
