Mafea urges members to take part in Oleai project

Members of the Marianas Association of Filipino Engineers & Architects put in place a new backboard for the Oleai Elementary School's basketball court. (Contributed Photo)  The Marianas Association of Filipino Engineers & Architects is spearheading an ongoing community project at Oleai Elementary School compound and is urging all its members to pitch in.

In cooperation with Oleai Elementary School Parent Teachers Students Association, Mafea is currently in the process of upgrading the school’s existing basketball court and installing new benches and new plant boxes inside the school.

This project has been in progress since March 3-4, 2012 and is still in the completion stage. Mafea officers and board of directors are encouraging all members to participate in this noble project for the benefit of all children at the Oleia Elementary School.

“We have an unfinished projects and in the spirit of voluntarism, we hope to see Mafea volunteer members on Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11, 2012, at the Oleai Elementary School compound at 8am,” said Mafea’s Carlito Marquez.
