1st Game: Ol’Aces 117, Saipan Stars 75
Ol’Aces defeated Saipan Stars 117-75 in the first game of the play-offs Monday night at the Ada Gym. Romeo Iginoef was the leading scorer for Ol’Aces with 27 points, 2 assists, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Dave Sablan contributed 22 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds, and steals.
Saipan Stars with a 10-point penalty relied on Jeorge De Guzman with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 steals. Aaron Burch helped out De Guzman with 19 points, 3 block shots, 11 rebounds and 2 steals in a losing cause.
2nd Game: Len’s 77, Diamond Auto Care 72
Len’s defeated Diamond Auto Care in the second game of the Monday night double header 77-72. Mark Rozic poured in 35 points, 3 assists, 1 block shot, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals. George Poquiz helped out Rozic with 14 points, 1 assist, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Fernando Muleta pumped in 24 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Rodney Catalia contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, and a steal in a losing cause.
Muleta and Catalia were the only Diamond Auto players who scored in double figures.
Saipan Stars and Diamond Auto Care need to win their next schedule game or face elimination.
