Brothers 96, Diamond Car Care 89

History repeats itself. Brothers once again is the Pennant Champions in the BANMI Men’s Islandwide Basketball League with a 96-89 victory over the Car takers. Ed Diaz poured in 22 points, six assists, 12 rebounds, three steals. Steve Rasa also came in by giving Diaz a helping hand with 16 points, two assists, 10 rebounds, and four steals. Team Brothers now has an 8-1 record.

The Brothers suffered their only setback of the regular season to the Sharks.

Bernard Montano and Fernando Muleta each scored l8 points for the Car takers. Muleta also dished out two assists, seven rebounds, and six steals. Llyod Hartman contributed six points, three assists, one block shot, and 12 rebounds in a losing cause.

GTE Pacifica 105 Ol’Aces 102

GTE Pacifica defeated Ol’Aces 105-102 in the second game of action at the Ada Gym on Friday. GTE pulled away in the last 5 minutes of the first half with an l1 points lead 55-44 at half time. Ol’Aces however using their full court press came in the second half to keep the score close.

Mark Wallace once again had a good night with 31 points, five assists, five rebounds, and five steals. Dado Vistal and Aloy Torreon each contributed 18 points. Torreon also had two assists, four block shots, 14 rebounds, and two steals.

Freddie Pelisamen poured in 26 points, one assist, four rebounds, two steals. Dave Sablan scored 18 points, had two assists, four rebounds, and six steals in a losing cause.
