Two Micronesians were wounded when a riot broke out between two groups of men who were drinking at the Fishing Base in Garapan last Saturday.

Based on a sketchy police report, victims Paul F. Torwain, 25, a Yapese, and his friend Dohn E. Aia, 26, s Pohnapeian, sustained serious injuries during the fight.

Mr. Torwain sustained a stab wound while Mr. Aia sustained two lacerations on the face, abrasions and bite marks on his left shoulder.

Suspect Rodney A. Santos, who was nabbed at the USP parking lot, and three others had been arrested by police authorities.

Rose Ada, DPS public information officer, said the victims were drinking beer at the Fishing Base when Mr. Santos and his friends arrived on board a pickup at the place.

Ms. Ada said Mr. Torwain and Mr. Aia asked Mr. Santos and his friends to join them for drinks and then a fight broke out.

The report did not say why and how the riot broke out. (Lucy Rosario)
