Boxing club meeting

The Saipan Boxing Club is inviting interested boxers and parents to meet with trainers and board members on Tuesday, Nov. 30th, 6:00 p.m. at the Ada Gym Conference Room, Beach Road, Susupe.

The club’s activities and future programs will be discussed in the meeting. Those interested are required to pay the $10 joining fee and to present medical certificate to become members. Membership is open to ages 15 to 25 years old.

Training for new boxers is held every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the 4-H Wrestling Federation Building (next to the Veterans Memorial at Kilili Beach, Susupe).

NMASA elections

The Northern Marianas Amateur S[ports Association is calling its members for a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Gilbert C. Ada gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will focus on elections, sports calendar and athlete of the year.

Aikido seminar

The aikido association in the CNMI will be holding the Second International Aikido Seminar on Saipan on Dec. 3 to 5, 1999 at the Nauru Building in Susupe as part of the group’s activities for its 5th anniversary.

Several aikido experts from South Korea will be arriving on the island to take part in the seminar and public demonstration.

Saipan softball tourney

This is to inform all coaches/managers/team representatives that there will be a meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 6:00 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium Conference Room regarding the 1999 Annual Thanksgiving Day Tournament.
The tournament will be held on Friday, Dec. 3 through Dec. 5, 1999. All interested individuals should attend the meeting.
Entrance fee for this tournament is $200. Entrance fees and completed team waiver forms are due no later than 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999 at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium Conference Room.
Teams desiring to submit their completed waiver forms and fees earlier than the deadline may contact SSA president Robert A. Guerrero at 235-1580 or the SSA league director Liz Palacios at 235-9980.

BANMI meeting

The Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands (BANMI) would like to inform all team coaches participating in the 1999-2000 Islandwide Men’s Basketball League that there will be a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ada Gym conference room.
Ray Lizama, president of BANMI, is urging all team representative(s) and Board members to attend.
