NMIRF to honor members, retirees
The Northern Mariana Islands Retirement Fund will hold its annual celebration honoring the Fund’s active and retired members for their dedicated service to the government of the Commonwealth.
The celebration, which commences with the signing by Governor Pedro P. Tenorio of the proclamation declaring October as Retirement Fund Month, will be held at branch offices on Saipan, Rota and Tinian, on Oct. 15th and Oct. 29th.
JSTA to conduct Saipan cleanup
The Japan Saipan Travel Association will conduct a beach cleanup drive on Oct. 30, 1999 as part of its ongoing effort to promote a beautiful environment for the Saipan community and the tourists.
According to Yoichi Matsumura, vice president of JSTA, the cleanup will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am starting at Micro Beach parking lot up to Hafadai Beach Hotel.
JSTA invited the member organizations of the Marianas Visitors Authority and the Hotel Association of Northern Marianas to participate in this activity.

Candidates Forum rescheduled
The Manhoben Tinian has postponed to Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, the Candidates Forum it has previously scheduled for Oct. 14. The forum will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Tinian High School cafeteria.
