Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio has re-appointed Laura I. Manglona and Rosario M. Elameto to the board of directors of the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation for a new four-year term.

Manglona will represent Rota, while Elameto, the Carolinians, according to the governor’s appointment letter submitted to the Legislature for confirmation.

Tenorio said that the administration is confident that both current CUC directors “will continue to be assets on this important board.”

Likewise, the governor has also named his appointees to the board of the Coastal Resources Management, saying all the three nominees are qualified and “will be valuable” assets to the agency.

The new CRM directors are Dolores S. Taman, representing Saipan, Women, Carolinians for three years; Edward A. Villagomez, Tinian for two years; and Juan M. Santos, Rota for one year.

Meanwhile, Tenorio has finally ended his search for the two new members of the NMI Retirement Fund Board of Trustees after months of waiting.

Now that they are expected to complete the composition of the board, the Retirement Fund will also name the new administrator to replace Edward Manglona, who retired in December.

The new appointees are Marian DLG Tudela, representing Saipan and Thomas I. Saures, for the Carolinians.

The Senate committee on Executive Appointments and Governmental Investigations is set to review their nominations for confirmation. (Benhur C. Saladores)
