Restaurants given OK to resume operations

The Bureau of Environmental Health has given Grotto Restaurant and BJ Garden Restaurant the go signal to operate after these establishments were ordered closed due to serious violations of sanitation and health standards.
During its inspection of various establishments from March 1-5, the following eating and dining establishments were rated “A”, the highest grade which the bureau of environmental health could give. These are Make Up Bean Restaurant in La Fiesta Mall, San Roque, BJ Garden Restaurant and Grotto Restaurant both in Garapan.
Inspections conducted on February 22-27 gave the following establishments the “A”, rating: Saipan Zoo Snack Bar, Sadog Tasi; Miracle Restaurant, Chalan Kanoa; Talent Karaoke, Garapan; Three Beans Cafe, La Fiesta Mall; 10 restaurants at Hyatt Hotel namely : Cocktail Lounge, Splash Pool Bar, Teppan Yaki Restaurant, Miyako Japanese Restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Chinese Restaurant, Skipper’s Beach Bar, Giovanni Restaurant, Gilligan’s, Kili Terrace.
Six restaurants that were given “B” grades: Skipper Beach Bar, Hyatt Hotel; Kaizuko Restaurant, Susupe; Town & Country Restaurant, Gualo Rai; Sawadee Cafe, Chalan Kanoa; James Com Nigh Club, Garapan and K’s Dimsum & Noodle House, Susupe.
Only J’s Restaurant in San Jose got a grade of “C”.
During the March 1-5 inspection, no dining establishment was ordered closed by the environmental health bureau.
