Commerce to hold presentations on Economic Model

The CNMI Department of Commerce will be hosting a round of public presentations to advise the general public on the final development of the CNMI’s Economic Model.

This presentation will provide information as to the development of the CNMI’s Economic Model and its forecasted impact on various industries within the CNMI. The presentations will allow the general public to interact with contracted parties to gain a better understanding of the impact of the model, its usefulness in economic planning, and specific data elements relevant to model development.

The project, which was funded through a grant under the U.S. Department of Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, is concluding after an 18-month engagement.

The CNMI Department of Commerce will host the presentations on the following dates:

¾ Friday, July 10, 2014, at 6pm at the Multi-Purpose Center on Saipan

¾ Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 6pm at the Rota Mayor’s Office on Rota

Video-teleconference will be available at the NMC campus located on Tinian during the July 15, 2014, presentations.
