Joint US, Japan training on FDM, at Warning Area 517

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force and Japanese military will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on July 8, from 11am to 2:30pm; July 10, from 8am to noon; and July 11, from 11am to 12:30pm.

The Japanese military will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on July 7-9, from 5pm to 11:59pm.

The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (PR)
