A small craft advisory remains in effect until 6pm today, Friday.

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Guam and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center’s State Warning Point, southeast winds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts of up to 30 knots and seas of up to 8 to 11 feet are present in Guam and Rota coastal waters until 6pm today. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

A tropical disturbance in western Micronesia will drift to the northwest over the coming days, likely passing in between Yap and Guam. The disturbance is expected to bring hazardous winds and seas for Guam and Rota coastal waters.

All experienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, are advised to avoid boating in these conditions. (PR)
