Secharmidal, Saralu still SBL leaders

CK Bears’ Virgil Secharmidal is still the pitching leader, while the Cardinals’ Nokki Saralu still leads in batting average in the 2023 Tan Holdings-Saipan Baseball League as of July 16.
Secharmidal is the only pitcher with a zero earned run average, in five games, 14 innings pitched, two wins, zero earned runs, and four hits against him; second is the Cardinals’ Nathan Guerrero who has a 0.99 ERA, pitched three games and 14.2 innings, has three wins, two ER, and seven hits against him; third is the Brewers’ Tim Cruz with a 1.27 ERA, in five games, 22.1 innings pitched, four wins, four ER, and 20 hits against him.
Jason Reyes has the most strikeouts with 45; Isaiah Teigita and Jose Lizama Jr. are tied with 40; Kevin Kapileo has 32; Timothy Cruz is at 26; Angelo Igitol and Secharmidal are at 25 each; M.J. Sakisat has 24; R.J, Riungel has 23; and Benji Palacios has 21.
Over on the offensive side, Saralu leads with a .567 batting average from 17 hits of 30 at-bats; the Junior Nationals’ J.R. Suel is at a flat .500 with 13 hits from 26 at-bats; the Cardinals’ Brian Camacho is third with a .485 average and 16 for 33 at-bats.
Sarulu also leads the most runs scored with 20; teammate Shane Yamada has 18; Jylon Sablan has 16; Isaiah Lizama has 14; Eli Aughenbaugh has 13; Teigita, Brian Camacho, Nathan Camacho, and Jerald Cabrera have 12 each.
Cameron Towai leads with the most doubles at five; Brian Camacho has four; J.R. Suel, Poland Masaharu, Henry Lizama, Vicente Camacho, Yamada, Saralu, Nathan Camacho, Jerald Cabrera, Jerome Delos Santos, and Joell Borja have three each.
Josenio Alvarez and Brian Camacho have three triples each; and Ben Leon Guerrero, Saralu, Harry Nakamura, Jordan Suel, and J-Boy Mendiola have two each.
As for home runs, only Devyn Flores, Henry Lizama, and Saralu have hit one each.
For RBIs, Brian Camacho leads with 14; Saralu has 13; Nathan Camacho and Poland Masaharu have 12 each; Franko Nakamura has 11; and Shane Yamada, Achilles Evangelista, and Giovanni Mira have nine each.
In the team standings, the Cardinals, Junior Nationals, Falcons, Brewers, Bears, and Blue Jays clinched a playoff spot, while the Natives, Bandits, D-9ers, Survivors, and Braves are out.
The season wrapped up its makeup games and was set to start the playoffs last night between the Falcons and Blue Jays.
