The event is part of the Foundation’s efforts to help advance postsecondary education in the CNMI and will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the West Course of the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort. This will be the eleventh year the tournament has been held.

The NMC Foundation is composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher education opportunities for CNMI students. Proceeds from the tournament and cash donations will directly benefit NMC’s educational programs and services.

“On behalf of the NMC Foundation, I would like to thank all past supporters for their investment in our community. I call upon the same supporters as well as other members of this great community to contribute to our one and only community college in helping students achieve their goal of obtaining a degree in higher education,” said NMC Foundation president Joe Santos. “All proceeds will go to the NMC Foundation, which is charged with the mission of supporting our great community college.”

The entrance fee for the tournament is only $95 per player. Interested players are also invited to bring their family, friends, and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause.

The tournament will be a top 5 Double Peoria. The first place winner will receive a $300 cash prize, second place receives $200 cash, third place $100 cash, fourth and fifth place will receive a consolation prize.

The NMC Foundation is also asking companies or individuals who can contribute Education Tax Credit, monetary, or in-kind donations to sponsor the tournament. Those interested in taking the opportunity to sponsor the event or who are interested in registering to play can contact the Northern Marianas College at 234-5498 Ext. 6780 or email richard.villagomez@marianas.edu.
