Secharmidal, Reyes are SBL pitching leaders

As of July 9, the C.K. Bears’ Virgil Secharmidal is the leading pitcher, while Jason Reyes has the most strikeouts in the 2023 Tan Holdings-Saipan Baseball League season so far.

Secharmidal has pitched 14 innings in five games, has two wins, zero ERA, and only four hits against him; Reyes is the strikeout king with 45 strikeouts.

Second to Secharmidal is the Cardinals’ Nathan Camacho who’s pitched three games, 14.2 innings, has three wins, 0.99 ERA, two earned runs, and seven hits against him. 

Reyes is third in the pitching leaders with 10 games and 38.2 innings pitched, a 2-2 record, 1.28 ERA, 41 hits, and seven earned runs. 

Angelo Igitol is next with four innings and 16.2 innings pitched, 1.30 ERA, two wins, seven hits, and three earned runs; J.J. Lifoifoi has pitched four games, 14.2 innings pitched, one loss, 1.48 ERA, 10 hits, and three ER; Tim Cruz has pitched four games, 15.1 innings, three wins, 1.85 ERA, 16 hits, and four earned runs.

Isaiah Teigita has pitched eight games, 30.1 innings, 1.86 ERA, a 1-3 record, 20 hits, and eight earned runs; M.J, Sakisat has five games and 22.1 innings under his belt, 2-2 record, 1.90 ERA, 20 hits, and six earned runs; Benji Palacios has pitched five games and 18.1 innings, 2-1 record, 1.93 ERA, 16 hits, and five earned runs; and Jose Lizama Jr. has pitched seven games, 21.2 innings, has a 2-2 record, 2.31 ERA, 19 hits, and seven earned runs.

Second to Reyes in the strikeouts category is Teigita with 40; Lizama Jr. has 33; Kevin Kapileo has 31; Igitol and Secharmidal have 25 strikeouts each; Sakisat has 24; R.J. Riungel has 23; and Palacios has 21.

On the offensive side, Nokki Saralu from the Cardinals is the batting leader with a .567 batting average from hitting 17 out of 30 at-bats; second is Jylon Sablan from the Junior Nationals is second with a .500 average from hitting 11 out of 22 at-bats; the Cardinals’ Brian Camacho is third with a .485 average from 16 hits from 32 at-bats.

Teigita has a .484 average with 16-33 at bats; Nathan Camacho has a .469 batting average from 15 out of 31 at-bats; J.R. Suel has a .458 average after hitting 11 out of 24; M.J. Aldan is at .450 from 9 out of 20; Shana Yamada is at .393 from 11 out of 28 at bats; Diego Camacho is at .381 from eight out of 21; and Isaiah Lizama is at .370 from 10 out of 27 at-bats.

Saralu leads the runs scored category with 20; Yamada has 18; Sablan has16; Isaiah Lizama has 14; Eli Aughenbaugh has 13; while Teigita, Brian and Nathan Camacho, and Jerald Cabrera have 12 each.

Brian Camacho leads the doubles with four; Suel, Poland Masaharu, Henry Lizama, Vicente Camacho, Yamada, Saralu, Nathan Camacho, Cabrera, Jerome Delos Santos, and Joell Borja have three each.

Brian Camacho also leads RBIs with 14; Saralu has 13; Nathan Camacho and Poland Masaharu have 12 each; Franko Nakamaru has 11; and Yamada and Achilles Evangelista have nine each.

Josenio Alvarez and Brian Camacho are tied with the most triples with three each; and Ben Leon Guerrero, Saralu, Harry Nakamura, Jordan Suel, and J-Boy Mendiola have two each.

Devyn Flores, Henry Lizama, and Saralu have hit the only home runs of the season with one each.
