CPA responds to inquiries about the availability of properties for lease
The Commonwealth Ports Authority has received several inquiries from private companies and individuals regarding the availability of CPA property for lease for, among other things, fuel storage and distribution facilities, at the CPA airport or seaport properties.
CPA is aware of a publication by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency soliciting an offer submission package for fuel storage and in-plane fuel services at various locations in the Pacific and Asia, including Saipan and Rota.
With respect to the land area that may be required, CPA informs that there is sufficient real property and commercial space at its airport and seaport properties on Saipan, Tinian and Rota. All potential interested parties may submit proposals and likewise CPA may issue a “notice of realty action” to solicit proposals as it determines appropriate. The agency will consider leasing real property and any commercial spaces subject to appropriate lease agreements, payment of fees and agreement to terms required by CPA.
All interested parties or persons may make further review of CPA’s regulations which can be found at the CNMI Law Revision Commission website as follows:

All interested parties are informed that CPA’s “notice of realty action” regarding properties for potential commercial lease are subject to the agency’s determination as to the appropriate use of such properties inclusive of environmental, commercial and safety restrictions or concerns. Inasmuch as the OSP by the Defense Logistics Agency involves the large-scale bunkering or storage of A-1 jet fuel, interested parties are further urged to inform themselves of the water aquifers, wells and public water system of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. on CPA premises.
