Four races and four wins by perfect 50 points so far for Beng Palacios in the 2023 Monster Energy Point Series Race.
The 14-year-old incoming Marianas High School student won his division in the June competition anew by winning both heats last Sunday at the Cowtown Race Track.
The June race follows his victories in the January, March, and April editions of the race.
Last Sunday’s race was the Marianas Racing Association’s first in two months as they took a break following the club’s participation in Guam’s 40th Smokin’ Wheels late last April.
Palacios beat Smokin’ Wheels ATV Enduro race co-winner Christian “Hollywood” Camacho and Ponce Rasa who both finished second and third with 44 points and 38 points, respectively.
“The win was great. The race was good as it was a good day [for racing]. It’s been a while since my last race but it felt good,” said Palacios.
He said he was able to navigate the treacherous course conditions last Sunday thanks to his experience and performance of his Kawasaki kx250.
“The track conditions were crazy. It was very loose and slippery with some big rocks, but I managed to stay on two wheels and fight through the race.”
Palacios then dedicated his victory to his family, Trench Tech Racing, specifically his sponsors Justis “Cuki” Alvarez and his wife, Mari, and Melvin and Eleanor Cepeda.
In the Peewee ATV, Nakoa Torres was the lone rider and got 50 points. Ditto for Elleayah Cruz and Anella Igitol in the Mini I and Mini ATV as they also went home with additional 50 points.
Results of the other classes in the June 2023 Monster Energy Point Series Race will be published in the next issues of Saipan Tribune.
