July 2 is the date to remember to avail of the best registration fee for this year’s 21st Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament.
Early bird registration rates up until 5pm on Sunday are $150, inclusive of optional play. After the early bird deadline, registration increases to $170.
The HANMI Charity Classic, one of the most highly anticipated tournaments of the year, will be held on July 15, 2023, at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
“Everyone loves a sale, and so for anyone planning to play in this year’s HANMI tournament, we encourage you to register at LaoLao by this Sunday,” said HANMI Tournament Committee chair Juko Ishikawa. “Optional play is already included in the $150 early bird fee this year, so it’s a great price for the kind of great tournament HANMI is known to deliver for our players.”
The tournament will be open to the first 144 paid registrants. Registration forms are available at www.saipanhotels.org and at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, where forms can be submitted.
Hole-in-one prizes include a 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback Sport Sedan from Triple J Motors, a 2023 Nissan Kicks from Joeten Motors, a 2023 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab from Atkins Kroll (AK), $5,000 cash from Pacifica Insurance, and $5,000 cash from Island Training Solutions.
“It seems to be a lucky year, with players already winning two cars in tournaments earlier this year,” said Ishikawa. “We hope the same in just a couple weeks!”
The tournament’s popular blackjack double peoria format will return. Registration fee includes green fee and the awards luncheon after the tournament at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort with a raffle. Option play will include accurate drive (hole No. 9) and four chances for nearest to the pin (holes No. 3, 7, 13, and 17). Showtime is 6am and the tournament will start at 7am.
A portion of the proceeds of this year’s tournament will benefit Marianas Tourism Education Council and 500 Sails. MTEC is a non-profit organization committed to educating the Marianas community, especially school children, about the Marianas tourism industry. 500 Sails is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the maritime traditions of the Mariana Islands.
