Frances Sablan is SGA May Ace

Saipan Golfers Association’s lone female member, Frances Sablan, won the club’s May Ace of the Month Tournament held last May 25 at the Mariana Country Club.

Sablan shot a net score of 72, while Jess Castro and Tony De Leon Guerrero finished second and third. She joins SGA’s monthly winners Nick Sablan (January), James Nelson (February), Alex Tudela (March), and Das Krishnan (April) for the yearend Ace of Aces tourney.

In the closest to the pin competition, Norman Tenorio topped hole No. 6, while Steve Balakrishna and Rick Kautz were without peer in holes No. 8 and 12, respectively. Sablan also pulled out a winner in hole No. 16.

In the longest drives, Martin Sablan and Kautz out-distanced everyone in holes No. 2 and 11.

Our SGA June Ace of the Month Tournament is scheduled this Sunday, June 22, at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Course. Tee time is at 10am with a show time at 9am. (Saipan Tribune)
