Winners of MVA photo tilt named

Winners of the “Capture the Beauty of The Marianas” Facebook and Instagram contest by the Marianas Visitors Authority have been named, with Mary Haze, Marlena King, and Odessa Camacho submitting the winning photos of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, respectively.

Entries were accepted during May Tourism Month and featured Marianas’ attractions, such as historical or cultural sites, beaches, or others. For Saipan, second place was posted by IG@shangminzzuo and third place by IG@grex_diaries. For Tinian, second place was posted by Pritizel Atalagi Carreon and third place by IG@ tinianfitastrodad. For Rota, second place was posted by Lani J. Manglona and third place by Jose Manuel. Cash prizes were awarded to all winners.

“What an amazing group of entries for our ‘Capture the Beauty of The Marianas’ photo contest,” said MVA deputy managing director Judy C. Torres, in announcing the winners. “It’s clear that we live in some of the most beautiful islands in the world, and there is tremendous pride and appreciation among our community in that fact. We thank all those who help the MVA promote our islands by sharing their photos with the world via this online contest, and we congratulate our winners.”

Entries will be shared by the MVA via social media and other platforms to promote the destination. The contest was held during May Tourism Month. (MVA)
