Nokki Saralu, Jason Reyes among SBL leaders

Nokki Saralu from the Cardinals is atop the batting leaders list, while Jason Reyes from the SPC Survivors is the pitching leader as of last Friday, April 29, in the 2023 Tan Holdings-Saipan Baseball League.

Saralu, of so far the undefeated Cardinals, has the highest batting average at .625 from 10 hits out of 16 at-bats.

He also tops the most runs scored with 11 and also has the most triples with two.

Behind him in the batting leaders category is the Jr. Nationals’ J.R. Suel with a .600 average from six hits out of 10 at-bats. Third is Jylon Sablan also from the Jr. Nationals at .545 from six out 11 at-bats.

Second to Saralu in the runs scored column are teammates Eli Aughenbaugh and Shane Yamada with seven each; Cameron Towai and Perry Celis both have six; while six others are tied with five each.

Brian Camacho, Eli Aughenbaugh, Harry Nakamura, Jobe Reyes, Kimo Angailan, J-Boy Mendiola, Ben Leon Guerrero, and Jordan Suel all have one triple each after Saralu.

In the doubles column, Jr. Suel and Poland Masaharu lead with three; Andrew Camacho, Byron Kaipat, Jose Lizama, Yamada, Brian Camacho, and Saralu all have two each.

Only one home run has been made so far this season and it was by Henry Lizama.

The most RBIs is eight by Masaharu, followed by Giovanni Mira, Nate Camacho, and Saralu with six; Brian Camacho has five; and Nakamura, Jerald Cabrera, and Yamada have four each.

As for the pitching leaders, Jason Reyes has pitched three games, 11 innings, zero earned runs, five hits, one win and no loss; and zero ERA.

Virgil Secharmidal from the CK Bears has pitched three games, 10 innings, zero ER, three hits, a 1-0 record, and also posted 0 on ERA.

M.J. Sakisat of the Natives has pitched three games, 12.1 innings, one ER, allowed eight hits; has a 2-0 win and loss record; and 0.58 ERA.
Currently, the Cardinals and Natives are undefeated with four wins each; Falcons are third with a 3-1 record; the C.K. Bears are 2-1; the Blue Jays and Jr. Nationals are 2-2 each; Bandits and Survivors are 1-2 each; and the Braves, Brewers, and D9ers have yet to win with three losses each.
