The Democratic Party of the Northern Mariana Islands elected a new Central Executive Committee, the governing body of the Democratic Party of the NMI, during a general membership meeting at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe Saturday morning.

In response to Saipan Tribune’s inquiry, Democratic Party of the NMI chair Jonathan Cabrera said last night that the new Central Executive Committee will soon have its first organizational meeting where new officers will be elected.

Cabrera did not elaborate.

The party is expected to issue a press release today, Monday, about the meeting.
