Items in the shop range from as low as $5 to $35. On certain Saturdays, they have promotions that are out of the ordinary. A promotion called “Special Sale Saturday” takes place, in which for a fixed price you purchase a bag, and shoppers can fill it up with as much as they can as long as they are able to close it. The conditions are: there is a time limit, the bags will be provided by the staff, and it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. Consignment items are excluded from the sale.

The shop, under the nonprofit Latte Training Academy, opened last May and since then has been providing its customers with quality, pre-loved items. It’s open from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday, and 9am to 3pm on Saturday.
Hocog said that along with being a thrift shop, it ultimately is also a training ground for customer service and retail operations for students in the academy.
“The shop came into creation because we understand that retail plays a huge role in the CNMI. Whether it’s business owners or even people getting into the retail industry for work, that’s kind of what the training program touches on: customer service and retail operations. We thought it would be a good way to leverage what we do to help train the CNMI workforce. Here, we do on the job training where they can get hands-on, practical learning, on top of the online curriculum that they have to learn,” said Hocog.
So, not only does it provide customers with unique, affordable, and quality clothing, it also empowers small businesses through consignment opportunities, as well as training and developing the workforce within the customer service and retail industry.
