KobES 1, WSR 1 bested foes in ES co-ed v-ball

Koblerville Elementary School 1 and William S. Reyes 1 bested their foes in the last round-robin game day of the the Public School System Co-ed Elementary School Volleyball Tournament at the Oleai Sports Complex last Friday.
The Umangs ended the regular season with a perfect 5-0 record, while the Kingfishers finished with a 4-1 win-loss card.
In last Friday’s games, the Umangs first faced off with Grace Christian Academy and won, 21-8; next up was Brilliant Star School which they defeated 21-5; they then beat Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School 2, 21-13.
The Kingfishers 1 also went 3-for-3 after they first defeated Garapan Elementary School 2, 21-18; they then faced off with GCA 1 and won, 21-2; and capped it off with a win against BSS, 21-4.
In other results that night, Oleai Elementary School 2 won against WSR 2, 21-16; GTC 1 defeated Saipan International School 2, 21-4; Kagman Elementary School bested GTC 1, 11-21; GTC 2 defeated BSS, 21-5; SIS 2 slipped past OES 2, 21-18; GES 1 beat SIS 2, 21-12; and GTC 2 beat GES 2, 21-11.
With that, advancing to the double-elimination championship tournament are KES, GES 1, WSR 2, and GTC 1.
In Pool B, KobES 1, WSR 1, GTC 2, and GES 2 are advancing.
Last Feb. 10, Pool C completed their round-robin pool play, with OES 1, TES, KobES 2, and GCA 2 advancing to the double-elimination championship tournament scheduled for Feb. 24 and 25.
