SMC looks forward to working with SNILD
Along with congratulating the 23rd Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation leadership team, the 17th Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council has also invited the delegation to a meeting to talk about how to create a better overall environment throughout Saipan and the North Islands.
In announcing last Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, that they are now ready to perform business on behalf of Saipan and the Northern Islands, municipal council chair Marian DLG Tudela also wrote SNILD chair Rep. John Paul Sablan (R-Saipan) that their team were not only duly organized, but they are ready to work with the SNILD leaders on behalf of the municipality of Saipan and the Gani, referring to the indigenous name of the Northern Islands.
In her request for a meeting with the SNILD, Tudela said they want to discuss plans to create a better overall environment throughout Saipan, as well as better help individuals from the Northern Islands—whether for those living on Saipan or those still living on the active volcanic islands.
“Together and united leadership team working cooperatively in the best interest and for the benefit of the Third Senatorial District municipality, we can overcome the many challenges facing our island, by taking the challenges that are all too common that we all know, and those other challenges that come our way unexpectedly, as opportunities to do good and perform exemplary leadership in addressing the best interest of our people throughout our communities,” Tudela stated.
