Masters caging enters Final Four phase this Sunday

It’s losers go home as the semifinals of the masters division of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League unfurls this Sunday at the Koblerville Basketball Court.

After its slate of open division games were postponed last week on account of flooding, Legends caging down south returns with the bang as No. 1 seed JSN Construction takes on winless and No. 4 seed Legends Elite in the 8am match.

JSN Construction, which finished the regular season with a 5-1 record, is again expected to lean on Jorge De Guzman, James Abuy, Jun Tabora, Alex Ocampo, and Bernard Montano against Legends Elite.

Legends Elite’s thin hopes of an upset rely on Sonny Ebuen, Dante Tabora, Ed Guinto, Ferdie Tobias, and Dick Tibayan. Legends Elite dropped all six games of the eliminations.

The JSN Construction-Legends Elite tussle will be followed by the 9:15am game pitting second seed Blue Haus against third seed Vizion Insurance.

Blue Haus will be back-stopped by former national players Ed Diaz and John Santos along with Elmer Esdrelon, Junar Guiab, Bruce Berline, Edwin Santos, and Richard Peredo.

Vizion Insurance’s chances of surprising Blue Haus depends if they get throwback performances from Leo Itaas, Michael Surima, Ariel Baul, Rodney Catalla, Fradel Sedillo, and Dindo Pablo.

Blue Haus actually finished tied with JSN Construction with a similar 5-1 slate, but lost due to an inferior quotient. Vizion Insurance, meanwhile, was 2-4 in the regular season.

After the masters semifinal matches, open division regular season games will follow with JTM Saipan (6-1) taking on winless Pepoy’s Cafe (0-7) in the 10:30am game. It will be followed by the encounter between Vizion Insurance (2-5) and Marianas Health Services (3-4) at 11:45am.

The 1am game will then pit Blue Haus (7-0) against NAPA Auto Parts (4-3), which will then be followed by the 2:15pm clash between Changming Market (6-1) and co-cellar dweller Al-Ger Manpower (0-7). The final game of the day at 3:30pm will then have Pacific Best Choice (3-4) colliding with Padrinos Tuesday Club (4-3).
