SSHS Manta Ray Battalion Color Guard performs for inauguration ceremony

Share

The Saipan Southern High School’s Manta Ray Battalion color guard assisted at the inauguration ceremony for the swearing in of the new Saipan mayor, Ramon “RB” Camacho, last Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.

The color guard introduced and presented the CNMI and American flags for the playing of the national anthems for the ceremony, which took place from 7am to 10am at the building in front of the Saipan Mayor’s Office.

During the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, the CNMI flag was lower than the U.S. flag. The CNMI flag was then leveled with the U.S. flag once they sang the CNMI national anthem. When that was done, the color guard marched and posted the colors, waiting until called upon to retire the colors to signal the end of the ceremony. (PR)
