Admin leave is OK’d for some Executive Branch employees
Gov. Ralph DLG Torres authorized yesterday the grant of administrative leave for non-essential employees of the Executive Branch for today, Dec. 23, 2022, in the runup to Christmas Day.
In a memorandum addressed to department and activity heads, he said he is authorizing the administrative leave for non-essential employees of the Commonwealth government’s Executive Branch “in the spirit of the holiday season.”
“This holiday season, we take the time to reflect on the people, blessings, and experiences of this past year that have brought us to where we are today, and we look to give back to one another by spending time with our loved ones, giving thanks, and spreading love, kindness, and goodwill throughout our community,” Torres’ memorandum stated. “My family and I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas weekend. May this holiday season bring you all an abundance of blessings as we look to a prosperous new year for our Commonwealth. Please continue to stay safe and look out for one another. Merry Christmas and happy holidays, Marianas!” (Saipan Tribune)
