M2 Fitness, a health and fitness nonprofit organization, held its yearend Christmas party last Friday at the Taga Hall of Saipan World Resort, featuring several contests and a pair Irene’s claiming top prizes.

A total of 23 participants walked the red carpet wearing various costumes and gowns, with Irene Dela Paz crowned as the Star of the Night 2022 with her DIY—a denim, M2 Fitness Zumba-inspired costume.

Dela Paz said it took her two weeks to create her costume. “[M2 Fitness] coach Mary Grace [Bautista] has really taught me a lot of things in regards to fitness so I have to know which is the brand that is famous when it comes to Zumba.”

Vincent Rabasto, Desolee Calayo, Emily Cabrera, and Mark Vasquez joined Dela Paz in the Top 5 of the Star of the Night contest.

In the 45-Day Body Transformation Challenge, Irene Cristobal topped the competition overall, as her physique impressed the judges the most. The 50-year-old also won the Healthiest Meal Award and credits her win to her hard work and discipline.

In a show of synchronized dancing and colorful and creative costumes, Dancing Venom danced their way to first place, along with winning the Best in Costume award and Coaches Choice award.

Second place went to M2 Balingkinitan and third place went to Zumbalicious.

The competitions were judged by ex-Filipino actor Bojo Molina and prolific members of the CNMI fitness scene: Dee Clayton, DC Classic president; Derek Cutting, Latte Built Gym owner; Somia Quan, Northern Marianas Volleyball Association president; and Anastasia Inos, Marianas High School teacher and health and nutrition trainer for Stellar Marianas.

M2 Fitness president Mary Grace Bautista thanked everyone for being there, along with their members, sponsors and judges. “Without those support, this event would not have been possible. Of course, we would like to thank all the members for the reason why we are all gathered here tonight because this very special night is yours. Thank you to all our hardworking group performers and their leaders. …You all did great and are a big part of this event. Thank you for the hard work and self-discipline of all 45-Day Body Transformation Challenge participants/challengers. Thank you to all who put lots of effort to make their costume for the fashion show theme, it makes the night even more perfect.” She also thanked the panel of judges for joining in the group’s 3rd annual celebration.
