Cup BAB opens 3rd location, this time in San Antonio

Those living on the southern part of Saipan won’t have to drive all the way to San Jose or Garapan to taste sumptuous Korean takeout as Cup BAB opened its location in San Antonio yesterday.

Dante Conlu, who handles BAB Korean Restaurant’s marketing and promotions, said they opened a third Cup BAB location next to SuperMarket at the old Department of Labor and Immigration building in San Antonio yesterday.

“It’s actually been a year coming because we were deciding whether it’s really the right place to open a third Cup BAB location or not. Until such time our customers who live in the south themselves urged us to open the San Antonio location,” he said.

The unmistakable Cup BAB signage actually has been visible at the potential third location for nearly a year, which Conlu admitted made customers of the takeout and drive-thru Korean fast food service more eagerly anticipate its opening in San Antonio.

By opening Cup BAB San Antonio, BAB Korean Restaurant is looking to tap into residential customers from the Koblerville and San Antonio area.

“Our philosophy is that instead of our customers coming to our two branches in Garapan and San Jose, we opted to come to them and in this case we opened the third location in San Antonio. Besides, the Cup BAB brand has already been established and COVID-19 restrictions have eased so it was easier for us to open the third location,” said Conlu.

So far, Cup BAB items available at the newly opened branch include Original BAB, Volcano BAB, Ugly Pop BAB, Squid BAB, Shake BAB, Combo BAB, tteok, dak-gang jeong, k-noodles, LA BBQ BAB, Pork BBQ BAB, Ocean BAB, Yan Kimchi Fried Rice, kalbi soup, and kimchi soup.

They will also be offering their new delectable shrimp menu (shrimp chaser and Shrimp BAB) and their immensely popular 5-, 8-, and 15-piece chicken wings at the new location. 

Cup BAB San Antonio items are priced the same as their first two branches in Garapan and San Jose.

To celebrate the opening of the San Antonio location, Cup BAB will also give a complimentary medium-sized iced tea for every $20 purchase in the first two weeks of operations from Nov. 6 to 20. Other promotions unique to the newly opened San Antonio location are also in the works, according to Conlu.
