Aldan reigns in three categories

Queens of Diamonds’ batting queen Kiana Aldan reigned supreme in three categories in the final individual statistics of the women’s division of the 2022 Budweiser Belau Softball Association League.
Aldan, who has repetitively led multiple categories throughout the season which began in July, is the triples champion, home run champion, and RBI champion.
The rarely hit triple was made by Aldan three times, she also sent six home runs flying from her bat, and has amassed 19 RBIs.
Her teammate with the same name, Kiana “Baby K” Camacho, is tied with Mardina Kaipat as the doubles champion with six each.
Hot Shots’ Erica Tenorio was crowned the batting champion with a .720 average throughout the season.
The runs scored champion is Lady Eagles’ Emi Oiterong with 21.
Over on the mound, the ERA champion is Bert Camacho with an impressive 2.29 earned run average. The strikeout champion is Felisa Brel Teliu with 51 who swung and missed against her.
The Queens took the pennant with their 9-1 record, followed by the Hot Shots and Lady Eagles, both with a 6-4 card.
In the men’s division, the batting champion is Sufa’s Audie Maratita with a .720 average, who is also tied in first as the home run champion with Man Amigos’ Eric Palacios at 14 each.
Runs scored champion is Jeff Cruz with 36; the doubles champion is Tim Wesley with 14; the triples champion is a two-way tie between Lefty Shiro and Mike Tomokane with six each; Eric Palacios took home the RBIs title with 48.
In the pitching category, the ERA champion is Hagu La’mun’s Joe “Openg” Celis with a 4.47 ERA and the strikeout champ is Asahi’s Dominic Hideo with 40.
Sufa won the men’s division pennant with a 14-4 win-loss card, with Tokahao as the runner-up with a 13-5 record. Man Amigos finished in third place with a 13-5 card in a tie with Tokahao but lost in a tiebreak.
The playoffs kicked off yesterday with a women’s division game between Queens of Diamond vs. Kosebakl; Sufa vs. Momma Charo; Tokahao vs Peleliu; Man Amigos vs. Asahi; Hagu Lamun vs. Ngaraard Redmen; and another women’s game between Hot Shots vs. Lady Eagles.
The semifinals are set for Sunday, Dec. 11 and the finals are set for Sunday, Dec. 18.
