Summer ukulele classes at JKPL

Summer Ukulele Classes for Beginner and Intermediate at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is now open for registration. The Beginners class will be taught every Wednesday for eight sessions from July 2 to Aug. 20, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Intermediate Ukulele Class will be every Thursday also for eight sessions, from July 3 to Aug. 21, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Beginner class is open to anyone who is interested on learning how to play the ukulele. Intermediate Ukulele Class is for those students who passed the previous Beginner ukulele class.

Minimum age requirement: 8 years or older; adults are welcome. Tuition is $50. Pre-payment required.

The classes will be held at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s Children of our Homeland Library in Susupe

Deadline to register is June 28, 2014.

There will be a minimum enrollment of 15 students and maximum enrollment of 40 students.

Students must provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold music sheets (Plastic sheet protectors and a 3-ring binder are recommended).

Parents and guardians must sign a Liability Waiver Form on behalf of their participating minor children and must adhere to public library policies and procedures.
