Shirley’s stops Southern United in women’s soccer

Shirley’s Football Club stopped Southern United Football Club dead in their tracks, 2-0, in Week 4 of the Flores-Pee Luwal (Intermediate) Division A in the 2022 Dove Women’s League last Nov. 6 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Stephanie Lagunero easily found the back of the net two minutes into the game for an early lead against Southern United. Southern United women tried to step up and put one up for their team but to no avail.
Shirley’s Mikayla Lopez sprinted her way to the goal in the second half for the team’s second score, which was enough to seal the deal against Southern United who was unable to strike back.
Shirley’s and Southern United are now both at 3-1 in the win-loss column.
In the last game of the night, MPU Football Club and Paire Football club ceased the game in suspended animation, 1-1. With this game, MPU is at the bottom with a 0-1-3 win-draw-loss standing, with Paire above them at 1-1-2.
