Ralph DLG Torres

The Office of the Governor has issued a statement that slams what it said is the continued dissemination of false information about Gov. Ralph DLG Torres’ water account despite a legislative investigation showing that no malfeasance happened.

The statement, issued Friday, urges the public to refrain from disseminating false information about the issue.

According to the statement: “We have received information that members of the public continue to be misinformed about Gov. Torres’ [Commonwealth Utilities Corp.] Account No. 82273. CUC had conducted its due diligence and made its determination. The investigation revealed that there has been no theft and all water consumptions were reconciled, billed, and settled accordingly. These facts were stated at the legislative hearings. To be clear, the governor’s account has been applied consistent with Commonwealth Law.” (PR)
