Triathlon event to celebrate Tan Holdings 50th anniversary
A Sprint Triathlon and Taga Kids Triathlon will be held this Saturday, Sept. 3, in celebration of Tan Holdings’ 50th Anniversary. (MARK RABAGO)
The second in a series of events to celebrate Tan Holdings’ 50th Anniversary of its inception is the Sprint Triathlon and Taga Kids Triathlon this Saturday, Sept. 3.
The Sprint Triathlon will begin at 6am for both individual and mixed participants.
It will start off with a 750m swim, move on to a 20km bike race from Paupau, to Seafix, back up to Banzai Cliff, then back to Paupau, and finally, a 5km run from Paupau to Ayuyu Drive then back.
The Taga Kids triathlon will start at 8am or right after the Sprint Triathlon. Children ages 5 to 8 years old are welcome to join the 50m swim, one loop bike, and one loop run course around Paupau Beach.
Children ages 9 to 12 years old are eligible for the 100m swim, two loops bike, and two loops run course around Paupau Beach.
Prizes and medals will be given to top finishers, along with running shirts for all finishers.
The last day to register is this Friday, Sept. 2 and there will be no race day registrations.
The Sprint Triathlon and Taga Kids Triathlon is being organized with the help of the Triathlon Association of the CNMI.
